Calendar of Events

In 2010 the Patchwork of Hope NetworkTM (P.H.N.), in partnership with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and its local members, is sponsoring live events in various cities across the country to raise awareness of after-shingles pain and to connect a community of patients and caregivers who are affected by shingles and after-shingles pain. Each event will feature a live seminar including information from area physicians and local members of the NCOA. Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to the P.H.N. quilt which will be unveiled on national television on PHN Awareness Day (September 16, 2010).

PHN Awareness Day – September 16, 2010
The American Pain Foundation (APF) has designated this day as the second annual PHN Awareness Day. Professional baseball player LaTroy Hawkins, along with a spokesperson from APF and a physician, will be participating in television media interviews while senior centers across the country will hold their own local activities to raise awareness of this condition.
